At TRU PACE, we know getting to medical appointments can be hard for older adults and for caregivers. For those who can no longer drive, coordinating affordable transportation to and from doctor appointments can be challenging. This is why transportation is part of the support given to TRU PACE participants when it is included in a participant’s plan of care.
Our goal is simple: help you get to the TRU PACE Day Center, medical appointments and to clinic visits in a safe, stress-free, and easy way to get the care you need. You will have one team who understands you, talks with you, and updates the plan when your needs change.
Convenient Through-the-Door Transport for TRU PACE Participants
When transportation is part of your care plan, it may include:
- Rides between your home, the TRU PACE Day Center, and medical appointments
- Help from the front door to the vehicle when needed
- Rides that match your therapy, medical care, or day schedule
- Vehicles that support walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices
- Staff who assist with safe boarding and exiting

At TRU PACE you won’t be left at the curb. We assist you all the way from your door to your seat. If you use a wheelchair, our vehicles are equipped with secure, state-approved safety systems to keep you comfortable and safe.
Fully Trained Drivers
We hire and train courteous drivers who understand the unique needs of older adults. Our drivers have clean driving records and go through a comprehensive training program, so you can have peace of mind every time you travel.
Special Services
If you need a Medical Service not available at our PACE Center (though most are provided on-site), TRU PACE will arrange transportation to and from that appointment and even provide a Health Care Companion when needed. This is just one more way we help our participants get the care they need without barriers.
Costs and Coverage
Transportation is provided at no cost for participants who are needing support getting to and from the TRU PACE Day Center, medical appointments and the Clinic as part of your care plan.
